Displaying both power and prominence beyond their years, Arrows Over Athens manages to keep the listener both singing along and moshing soundly to the beat, sometimes even all at once. Michelle Herrick and Randy Burlingame come at you with their double-barreled shotgun barrage of soaring dual vocal melodies that mix and match and interweave into one cohesive attack that never sees them fighting each other for airtime. Arrows Over Athens isn’t just a rehashed version of your favorite girl-fronted punk-pop-rock band. They are whole-heartedly a new take on a genre that gets pigeon holed more often than not.
After quickly becoming a staple in the Western Massachusetts Punk-pop scene by playing countless shows at every major venue in the area and even the obligatory Warped Tour date, Arrows (as they are sometimes affectionately called) fan base grew to the point where they demanded Arrows to release… something. Keeping true to their D.I.Y aesthetic, they didn’t bother to let someone else decide when and what they would release, instead they chose to keep themselves in complete control and then happily caved into the fans demands and released their debut EP “As These Roots Grow” to critical acclaim from both fans and webzines alike.

After recording a new single at Zing Studios (Underoath, Killswitch Engage, A Day To Remember) in February for their upcoming split with Maine pop-punk mainstays Legend Has It, they will be tearing up the USA one state at a time all summer long. After a tough, sweat-filled, grueling summer of touring, one would think that Arrows would try to catch their breath, right? No. Arrows Over Athens heads right back into Zing Studios to record their follow up record, more prepared and hungrier than ever. Armed to the teeth with hooks and heart, Arrows plans to shoot down all naysayers with a steady diet of well-crafted punk-pop gems.
